When Jason Fox left college with a degree in psychology, he probably wasn’t aware that the only brains he was going to be picking were those of local bar and restaurant owners. As the Head Brewer at Custom Brewcrafters in Honeoye Falls, Jason oversees all aspects of the brewery and helps local pubs and eateries develop their own custom brews. Most people would think that being deaf would create a challenge when it comes to playing team sports, but RIT/NTID student Geo Kartheiser considers it an advantage. Kartheiser is one of the three deaf students from RIT who tried out for the USA deaf men’s volleyball team this past weekend in Rochester.

Typically teaching classical ballet, Kathy Diehl recently taught a contemporary ballet class for Brockport’s Dance Awareness Days. Teaching and studying at SUNY Brockport in the modern dance program, she also has been teaching at the Timothy M. Draper Center for Dance Education since 1996. Her expertise is matched by the number of years in teaching and studying classical dance.

When Solomon Dixon showed up at his first breakdancing practice, hetried to jump up a wall and ended up putting a large hole in it. Thegroup of breakdancers banned him from their space, but he refused togive up. He continued to track the group down, until they forgave himand began to teach him how to dance. Since then, Dixon has beenpassionate about breakdancing. Currently a member of the group ZeroGravity, Dixon recently performed at RIT on Saturday, February 9,2008.
