Coffee mmmmmmmm
Personally, I’m not a fan of Starbucks. I’d like a plain coffee… none of this halfcaffnonfatmochamintacaramelccino with an extra shot crap. I don’t even know the lingo. Tim Hortons pleeeease!
I hear Starbucks is a sweet place to work though :)
And also, here’s something that bugs me to no end: Who’s seen the Dunkin Donuts commercial where they make fun of the Starbucks French/Italian/Fritalian language that the drinks and sizes are in, then they say “order a Dunkin Donuts latte in English!” Okay, Dunkin Donuts, hi, latte is ITALIAN. So shut up.
Where do you get your coffee?

I like Bruegger’s too, mostly because there’s no Tim Hortons near campus in Pittsford, so Bruegger’s is the next best thing.
And here’s the Dunkin Donuts commercial… tell me if it’s ridiculous to you too, or is it just a foreign language major thing?
I’m a true coffee addict, and I usually get mine at either the Java’s or Spot on campus (RIT). And just FYI, they do sell regular coffee at starbucks, it’s on the very top of their menu, under Coffee. Also, perhaps the reason why their menu is in Italian is because coffee originates from Turkey, and gained popularity in Italy. Complaining about the language is like going into a French restaurant and complaining that all the foods are in French. Maybe Wendy’s will come out with a stunning ad compaign next bashing McDonalds for using the word “Hamburger” because it’s German.
But yeah, anyway I’ve gotten coffee at Tim Hortons and Dunkin Dounuts, but they’re usually really stale tasting; everytime I get coffee from Java’s Starbucks or Spot, it’s always fresh. If you care about the taste of your coffee instead of the price of pick-me-up, go for a place that specializes in coffee.
I agree that Tim Horton’s is often stale tasting…but I love Dunkin’ Donuts coffee! And, although Starbucks does have normal coffee, I think that many people think of it more as a specialty drink place. I’m not a big fan of Javas either.
I definitely prefer Tim Horton’s over Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, but that’s just me, no bad experiences.
Either way, there’s nothing like some fresh brewed coffee from the coffee maker in my apartment, maybe some Vanilla Biscotti or something… delicious… it gets me thru my morning classes and my last quarter at RIT.
I love a medium cinnamon soy latte from Starbucks.. (the devil)
