Dog Town is indeed pretty fantastic.
Not to mention you can replace any of their “real” dogs with veggie ones.
I’m a Schnauzer man myself.
hmmm. sounds good. might wanna check it out sometime. prices reasonable?
Dog Town is so delicious! I wish I could go there right now. I adore the veggie plate. One of the best places to eat in the ROC!
I hear they make great veggie hot dogs. I really want to try it out.
I’ve never been there and I’m always looking for places with veggie options…I love garbage plates more than life itself so it makes my day that they serve them with veggie hot dogs.
Their plate comes with 2 veggie dogs or burgers, and you have your choice of all of the usual fixins, inluding veggie chili on top to substitute for the meat sauce which, for your money, is really the way to.
i want a veggie plate from dogtown right now!!!! please do yourself a favor and check it out!!
i got a veggie plate last night from dog town and it was SO good! veggie burg/veggie dog/all fries/veggie chili.
i heard that they have deep fried tater tots.
yum yum!
I went to this place recently and I thought it was so awesome I went the next day also.
I really have to comment on the variety of food this place has. Everything from traditional or regional style hot dogs (I highly recommend the Chicago-style) to some pretty creative items I wouldn’t have thought of. The Mountain Dog is a hot dog covered with melted Swiss cheese, mustard and sauteed mushrooms and was pretty fantastic. There’s also a Caribbean style dog that has Jamaican relish, onions and cheese that sounds pretty interesting as well. Plus, they’ve got Saranac root beer which is by far the best microbrew root beer you can get in the Northeast.
alright, if there’s any testament to how awesome i think this place is, shortly after i wrote this post around lunch time i was so amped on thinking about this place i went there for lunch immediately afterwards. seriously, i think this place is awesome. (do i sound like a total freak yet?)
I’ve never been to Dogtown, but I love the Pita Pit! It’s only 5 minutes away from Fisher and the stuff is healthy for you and tastes excellent. I highly recommend it ;)
I agree with Christina, Pita Pit’s only a few minutes from RIT on Jefferson and it’s fantastic. They also deliver from campusfood.com. That tends to be a bit pricey, but if you’re really in a bind, they’re usually pretty fast.
i like pita pit . my fave is the hummus w/romaine lettuce, feta, green peppers, tzaiki, and sprouts. there’s also a location downtown on alexander st.
