St. John Fisher College
St. John Fisher College is a liberal arts school situated in the eastern suburb of Pittsford. Established in 1948 as an all-male college, Fisher officially admitted women in September of 1971. Fisher’s educational philosophy centers on its founder, St. Basil, who believed in care for the poor and underprivileged. The college emphasizes liberal learning and independent thinking, brought about by the its many student organizations and clubs.
